MAFM Town Hall Meeting 2025

Venue: Bilik Melur, Bangi Resort Hotel, Persiaran Bandar, 43650 Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor.

MAFM is hosting a Town Hall Meeting in conjunction with its 18^th AGM. The topic for this Town Hall Meeting is “Facilities Management in Malaysia: An Emerging Economic Sector or a Missed Opportunity?”. We have two distinguished and experienced Panellist from the Industry to present their perspectives as a regulator and service provider respectively on this topic. The two panellist are as follows:

Vekneswaran T. Arasappan (Head, Property & Facility Solutions, UEM Edgenta)

This meeting will be moderated by Dr. Rizal Baharum, Senior Lecturer, University Malaya.

MAFM’s 18th AGM

Date: 18 February 2025

Time: 11.00 am – 1.00 pm

Venue: Bilik Melur, Bangi Resort Hotel, Persiaran Bandar, 43650 Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor.

This will be MAFM’s Annual General Meeting for 2025 which needs to be held before 31 March 2025. This will be an election year. The objective will be to approve the Annual Report including the Financial Statements, elect office bearers for 2025 – 2027 and to approve any motions proposed by the members.

mAFM roadmap workshop 2025

Venue: Bilik Melur, Bangi Resort Hotel, Persiaran Bandar, 43650 Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor

MAFM’s current Roadmap was developed in 2015 with two strategic goal ie to make FM as a recognised Profession and to make MAFM as a one-stop reference for FM in Malaysia. This Roadmap has been used as a guide for MAFM’s yearly plans and activities since 2015. To a large extent MAFM has achieved both these strategic goals. With the dynamic changes that is taking place in the eco-system in which the FM Industry operates, it is high time this Roadmap needs to be reviewed. We have had two engagement sessions with stakeholders to obtain feedback on the key focus areas for the reviewed Roadmap. The objective of this Workshop is to present the findings of the two engagements session and to obtain feedback from the participants before finalizing MAFM’s Roadmap for 2025 – 2030.

World FM Day 2025

This is the day set as the global FM Day for the year. It is held on the second Wednesday in May every year. For 2025, it will be held on 14 May 2025. We have an interesting event which is at the planning stage now. We will announce further details on this event soon.

Technical Visit

We have identified a couple of sites which would be of interest to FM Practitioners to visit. The visit will give insights on the adaption and usage of latest FM technologies. We plan to arrange this visit in June 2025.

FM Seminar

We are planning a special Seminar on a subject matter of interest for all FM Practitioners. We intend to have the Seminar in Aug 2025. Once we have ironed out the details, we will make an announcement.
